Directed by the critically acclaimed Paul Spicer, the Whitehall Choir goes from strength to strength. Its high standards are reflected not just in the wonderful sound it creates in several concerts each year at top London venues but also in the number of new singers wishing to join. The choir also undertakes recording projects; of its latest CD, Fairest Flower of any Field - Music for the season of Christmas, Gramophone magazine wrote "[Whitehall Choir] acquit themselves admirably in [a] programme that spans the centuries, from Palestrina, Victoria and Byrd to the present day. Expect high-class amateur singing." This energetic group occasionally tours abroad and runs singing workshops. The choir is friendly which is prized as highly as singing sensitively and accurately. The Whitehall Choir has evolved greatly since it was established in the early 1940s.
